Please note: I might unintentionally give away spoilers of "Tru Calling," but I don't think so.


Anyways I was giong to my class on campus (at UBC), when my friend and I saw all these set stuff in front of Hennings where I had my class. I overheard some person telling some passerby that the set up was for "Tru Calling." I got all excited and thought "Hey maybe I'll see Eliza," but I didn't as I went in. But I saw a movie chair near the entrance that was navy blue and had "Tru Calling' on the back in white I think, which was neat.

My friend and I had empty pop cans and we couldn't find a recycling bin inside the building and being environmentally-friendly people that we are , we decided to go outside to find those blue bin things. When we went outside, we saw Eliza !!!! She was a few metres away from us which was cool. Some guy was holding an umbrella for her (it was raining) that had a big "R" I think. She looks a lot like she does on television, which is really gorgeous. I think she was wearing a tan outfit with stripes? Her hair was really wavy. I'm not exactly sure because I became all giddy and was so shocked to actually see her. I think they were in the middle of filming so my friend and I went to class.

After class, I didn't expect her to see her again but I saw sitting on the "Tru Calling" movie chair that I described earlier, which was just inside the entrance. No other students were mobbing her or anything, just walking in and out of the building. At first I was too shy to go up to her, but as I passed her, I heard her smoky voice while she was talking to someone. Eliza has a cool voice. When I went out the entrance, I stopped and my friend pushed me to say something to her. So I went back inside and here's what sort of happened:

Me: Eliza?

Eliza: Yeah?

Me: You rock!

Eliza: ( giving me a "okay you're a strange person" look): Thanks

then I went away. I didn't ask for her autograph because I was too much in shock and too nervous. and I don't have any pictures or anything.

So there's my little recount of the Eliza sighting. I don't quite remember every little detail but that's pretty much all I remember.

thanks for sharing the story.. u lucky lucky person you... i can't believe you didnt get an autograph even if i didnt have a pen or paper or anything i would have picked up a rock from the ground and had her scrape her autograph into my forehead

It's funny that her reaction was the weird look and "yeah". Hehe. Too bad you didn't get an autograph but I probably wouldn't have either!

Anyways, what a lucky person you are!! :oLOL, if i meet Eliza and have nothing for her to sign, i'm stripping my shirt off and makeing her sign that..wait, i just thought of a pen..I'll get my knife out and cut something and she can sign it in blood...Ok, thats weird..but it works

Sounds exactly what I would say if I met her...I'd stutter or say something lame. Very lucky you got to meet her though.

OMG!! I'm a UBC student too and I too met Eliza yesterday!!

My awesome friend told me people were shooting "Tru Calling" in front of the physics building so we (both of us being Buffy fanatics) checked it out after our class.

When we arrived, they were shooting their last take, which was of Tru running across a park-like grassy area. After that take, the director called the wraps. Just when we were about to leave, we saw Eliza heading towards a tent which was 20 feet from where my friend and I were standing.

Without hesitation, my brave friend dragged me with her to say hi to Eliza. Eliza was chatting with an important looking guy (director? producer? i dunno..) when we approached her. We said our hi's and asked for her autograph.

She's soo gorgeous in real life! As she was signing for us, my friend asked her whether she'll be guest-starring on Angel again soon. She said she's not sure and then the important looking guy interupted her by grabbing her on her shoulders and said, "She's OURS!! and we're not letting her go!" with a smile.

Then, Eliza went on to tell us that her drinking glass EXPLODED in her mouth that day. OUCH!! I was standing close enough to see a few cuts on her lips.

After that, they had to leave so we said our thanks and byes.

That had totally made my day/week/month!! She is AWESOME!
