Every single one of those pictures is seriously way old. Excluding the Season 5 picture but they're not even side by side there.

Well I can only see the first pic which is from Buffy S3.
I'm not saying that SMG and Aly aren't friendly but they may not be as close as we might like to think. And although a picture is worth a thousand words, unfortunately they can't really shed much light on the issue.
It could just mean that despite how they really feel about each other they are both great actors and are professional enough to put their personal feelings aside.
Again, they could be friends and I hope that they are but we don't know. And unless they both publicly discuss it, which I think is unlikely then we probably never will. Sorry.

No disrespecting Aly or Sarah, but when I'm at school and people point a camera at me, I pose with whoever I'm with and people might assume I'm friendly with them even if I'm just standing besides them at the time...Sarah and Aly did spend everyday together - so it's just natural there will be pics of them together
What about recent ones of them together off the set?

they were....( they seemed) .the 1rst seasons....
now I think they don't ! a friend don't say what Aly said in these interviews ....this behaviour is not great ! not for Sarah , not for Aly herself!
' dreams are dreams , life is life ... and work is not a dream...
And we ' ll never know what it's happened !
that's NOT our business ! it's very , very sad !

I don't think anyone would argue against the suggestion that Sarah and Aly got along very well during the first few seasons of the show. People grow apart, but it doesn't mean that they don't still get on. Not being as close to someone as you once were doesn't really mean anything. I have quite a few friends that I would place in that category. They both have other friends in their lives (including other cast members that they each seem to be quite close to), and they both started seeing the men that they still share their lives with at around the same time. It's only natural that they'd spend less time together...and start going to events like movie premieres with their boyfriends rather than friends from work.
I've worked with plenty of people that I got along really well with, but that I didn't spend any time with outside of work. So again, I don't think that necessarily means anything. I also have plenty of friends whose actions I disagree with occasionally (rightly or wrongly)...but that certainly doesn't mean that we're not friends.
If either Sarah or Alyson ever comment directly on the subject, then we'll know. Until then, we only really have speculation.

Exactly. That can be an 'excuse' for the Buffy cast not being at Sarah's wedding or the Angel cast at David Boreanaz's.

Well, I'm all for having friends and being cordial, but...
I'm more concerned about Willow and Buffy rather than Sarah and Alyson. Whether or not they give each other pedicures, I don't think it affects their work. I believe that they are professional enough not to let personal differences interfere with the relationship between the two characters. And if they aren't chummy, well, neither are Buffy and Willow at the moment, so perhaps the animosity made the current scenes more believable. If Sarah's a bitch, well none of them has to deal anymore, so get over it. Why dwell...there's no point.
I think that the negativity surrounding two central cast members at the end of such a monumental series is SO not an issue in the long run. I don't feel jipped from a fan's point of view. So let 'em have at it...what's it matter, really?
