it could be a place where fans have accepted that it's over and therefore can write passages of "Thankyous" addressed to the cast & crew and why BtVS has been so important to/in their life etc. etc. I'm not saying that Joss and co. will ever see it but you never know!!

So anyone up for it? Would anyone want to make it? I can get my dad to buy the domain.. (he does that sort of thing) if anyone wants to do it with me?

we could through together a site that is basically a message board with one thread that people can post Thankyou's into
and we can on the Hollywood Reported Add also include the URL to the website. This way maybe if we're lucky and Joss and the rest see the URL there as well they might take a look

Yes, that is correct. it'll take a bit to get the site up and going. we have allot of work to do and all those who've mentioned help with graphics

This is a great idea. A lot of people want to do something but can't afford to contribute money to the BAP or the Hollywood Reporter ad. This way, everyone has a chance to contribute something.

I agree with the idea about a section for fan art. I had actually PM'ed SMGVBEST about it a little earlier.

To everyone offering help with the site

Were we are at is the domain is registered and active. I've given it space on my server for free.
we have a skelaton board up for testing only at this time. still much work to do.

What we need to get this up and going as fast as possible is plenty of help.
We do need the graphics people
We need ones who are good at site design.
We need moderators for the board.
We need to come up with our site guidelines and posting guidelines (i think SMGFAN.com's are a great place to start if not exactly what we need)
We need a person who is great at organizing projects and creating timelines (very quickly)

If you want to help in any of those area's please PM SMGVBEST and polo with your info and what you want to help with.
I'd like to get this off the SMGBoard soon as possible to reduce the bandwidth used by this project on SMGFAN.com

I can help moderate, but I don't think the board is going to a chaotic zone, I view it as a solemn resting ground. .
