Ok, I Just started watching Angel again and I gotta tell you, I'm not that impressed. What happened to all of the characters!?! I miss the old Cordy we all knew and loved, well loved to hate her! Now she is all nice and not an airhead! And Angel is such a bad character now! He cant act anymore either and Westly looks like a washed up drunk! I liked the 1st season of Angel but then after that it got a little old. I hope they do a crossover cause it would make Angel better but still it isnt that great of a show. I wouldnt be surprised if it got cancelled. BTW since I havnt watched it in a long time, what happened in the show? I remember when Cordy went back to the past and when they brought Fred back, but what has happened since then? And did Cordy go into space?

Do you even know WHY Wesley is the way he is? He's been through a lot, shaving and looking good isn't exactly his number one priority...

And I agree that the change with Cordelia is kind of unrealistic, but if you ignore the BtVS Cordy and look at her the way she was since Angel started, it almost seems real. She's a completely different character...


Cordy never went into space...she descended into the heavens... ...now shes back...we don't know why yet...

I actually think Angel is pretty good, not as good as Buffy though. This season has been alright, with a few ok episodes, only two really good ones in my opinion. Lilah is my favorite character...

I actually think Wesley looks really hot this season. And uh... all the seasons before that. I love Angel as a character and David does really well portraying him. On the other hand... I think Cordelia and Connor should be wiped off the show completely. They deserve each other.

What happened to Westly? Didnt he get shot or something? Cause I though he just had a breakdown or like didnt feel like shaving. Thanks for the info and no one is better than Buffy!

Well...he read a fake prophecy saying that Angel will kill Connor, so he stole Connor(baby Connor), and ran away...then he got his throat cut by Justine and the baby was stolen, and taken into Kortoth(spelling that wrong, I'm sure)...then Angel tried to suffocate him in the hospital bed. Ever since then they haven't spoken, he's kind of been an outcast.

I remeber that now, but why is Westly and Leylah (Sp? sorry!) together? I though she was a baddy? I dunno, I dont think she show has the same spark as it did in the begining and I will still watch it considering now Wednesday TV sucks cause Birds of Prey was cancelled and Angel is the only thing on, so, thatnks for the info!

Lilah came to Wesley when his friends (Team Angel) wouldn't even let him tell his side of the story, they just ignored him, which lead to them sleeping together and have been together since.

I personaly think Wesley is much cooler on Angel, than on Buffy; he was too uptight and wimpy on Buffy, now he's actually "cool". As for Angel, yeah his character has changed alot but any character will if you have him shown minimal (season one of Buffy), then to evil role (Buffy) and then to a MAIN character; more airtime and being "good" has lead to alot of changes but I still think he's just as good of a character. Cordelia has grown up more on Angel, though I liked her more on Buffy, she can't stay a screaming cheerleader forever.

He was better on Buffy when he was the mini-Giles AKA the annoying little guy who no one could stand and insisted on being punctuall and rash! He was so much more funny on Buffy and now on Angel he is all broody and kinda a gerk now. I miss the good old days!

As much as I can't stand Cordy now and not so thrilled with Angels character, I love Wes the way he is! Never would have thought that back when he was on BtVS. Give me conflicted Wes any day compared to what he was

I can live w/Wes but Angel and Cordy need to get back to their old ruteans as Cordy being stuck up and Angel being broody and NOT all father like!

I like the changes.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the characters earlier, perhaps even more, but I think they would have been getting stale by now. One of the hallmarks of the Buffyverse is that characters change and develop. If you don't follow the development, you're likely to get stuck in the past.
Angel couldn't be broody forever. Cordy couldn't be an airhead forever. The show would have gotten old pretty quickly.

Oh, yeah, and Wesley's character development is probably the best in the Buffy/Angel-verse, rivaled perhaps only by Spike.

If you did just start watching again, I'd recommend playing catch-up instead of trying to join in now. Angel has been on one continious storyline since the last episode of season 1 when Darla was brought back an Wolfram & Hart became the villian. Getting into it 3 seasons later isn't going to be easy.
