Sideshow Toys is planning to release a 12" Vamp Willow doll to go with the Buffy, Angel, Spike and Faith dolls that have already been announced. Below is a picture of the prototype that appeared in a toy magazine. Keep in mind, this is only a prototype and the production version may be different. (We can only hope so!! ) To me, the mouth is just entirely wrong.

I wanna piss Rob off by saying it's an improvement But seriously, that's just a really weird-looking doll. At least she looks like a vampire

What's wrong with it? It's only plastic, I reckon it's a pretty good likeness!

OK, things don't look quite so bad now. Here's a post from another board -- it's from a Sideshow rep:
| QUOTE | Hey all,
I want to assure you, this is a work in progress... by no means the final product. These images are from the first version of the prototype - it's already changed considerably since these photos were taken. We are still in the process of revising the portrait (and the sculptor is amazing - you'll be pleased when you see the final version). Generally, we don't release images so early in the product cycle - but it's Toy Fair time! Stay tuned for more...
|
Also, there apparently will be 2 Willow dolls released. The first is this Vamp Willow, and the second one will be a regular Willow (she comes with Amy the Rat as an accessory ). So there's hope that this one will still turn out good, and Faith may come out better than the pictures of her looked, as well. Last, but not least -- rumor has it that they will be doing Xander and Giles next!!

Let's hope it turns out good.. the prototype is horrible...
The outfit looks way to big on her, IMO. And the face doesn't look like Willow at all....

I think the Vamp Willow doll looks more realistic than the Faith doll did. But, since neither of them are what is going to be sold, I guess it doesn't matter.

ANSWER: Nope. Nah, I wouldn't know. But I don't. And by the looks of that, I'm not missing out on much...
